Example of IESCO Bill Calculation
Suppose that you have used 210 units; then the rates applied to you are different from those applied to the consumer who has consumed 137 units. This is because
- The first 100 units have the lowest price rates
- The next 200 units are charged a bit high
- After 300 units or above, costs are at the highest rates.
How to Find Your Units for the Month?
If you don’t know how to find your units of the month manually, then there are two options for this
Using Your Meter
- First, look at your meter and note the current reading.
- Then find out your previous month’s reading.
- Now subtract the current month’s reading from the previous month’s reading.
Total units consumed = current units – previous months’ units
Using Your Last Bill
You can also see your previous month’s reading and this month’s fresh reading. By subtracting both, you will get your units, from which you can guess your bill.
